1981 saw the introduction of the  BC102 -BC104  Portable Mixing Range

which successfully became the basis of a number of ILR 'Custom Specials' .


The Motherboard principal used for desk wiring allowed a much lower desk profile and depth, simplifying the design and manufacture....keeping costs down in what was becoming a much more keenly priced market.


The BC102/104 Module : The C591 and its derivatives  became the module of choice at this time.

Below is probably the last piece in this jigsaw :
If only the BBC’s financial people had been as
flexible as their ILR counterparts.....sadly it wasn’t 
to be and our little company went out of business
but even in receivership we managed to fulfil their
contract for two Digital Continuity Desks.

October 2023 :  Alex Gautier is now the proud owner and restorer of Muff Murfin’s 1978 30/24 Beautiful Console.

8.11.23 : Neko Mitts from Cardiff - owns this ( ex 1976 Border TV grams mixer ) in storage for the past 20 years !!!………………..He reckons that it’s big brother- Border TV’ 24/16 Production Desk - which has sadly never turned up is in Chicago somewhere ???? 

2nd November 2022. : Theo Pascal sent me an enquire and photo’s of Kirsh Mustafa’s ‘Prototype 6 channel desk’ he made from his Crailing home in 1972 prior to setting up his Company TWEED AUDIO……what a find.

4.4.23 : Eli Lief New York City is now the owner of this M124  circa 1983  (This is the first of maybe 3 or 4 made - which has just come to light) - purchased from Chris Rosek. British Colombia
